I'm really, really tired....been working on this all day.
The whole thing took ~20 hours, colored pencil work and background. Dak and Aldrea were rendered with Prismacolor Colored pencils; background was done with photoshop elements.
The scene depicts Dak and Aldrea before their desperate plunge into Father Deep (AKA the glowing, blue mist). They're on the run from the Yeerks and the only way to escape them is to go where no Hork-bajir has ever gone....and survived.
